創造、というのは紀元前 4004 年に起きたできごとではなく、数百億年前にはじまって現在も続いているプロセスである。進化論は信仰と対立するものだろうか？そうではない。聖書を天文学、地質学、生物学、人類学の入門テキストと捉えることは大きな間違いである。シンボルが本来意図されたのと違う意味で解釈されるならば、架空の (本来存在しない) そして解決することのできない問題が発生する。

聖書の無謬性を支持する、ということと、科学の入門テキストとして捉えない、ということは対立することではない、と思う。たぶん。
