I love this magazine, published by Xilinx. I didn’t know that Mr. Peter Alfke (the famous Xilinx’s staff, we can meet at FPL conference every year) started this work…

Introduces the system monitor feature of Virtex-5 FPGA. Sounds great, that we can monitor the temperature and power supply voltage without any external sensors & circuits. The system monitor works via the boundary scan interface, and we can access with the JTAG TAP in the FPGA.
