I didn&#8217;t know that Mr. Peter Alfke (the famous Xilinx&#8217;s staff, we can meet at FPL conference every year) started this work&#8230;<br \/>\nAnyway, the magazine is very interesting, as usual.<br \/>\n[ Using the JTAG chain for accurate system and intra-die power and thermal analysis ]<br \/>\nIntroduces the system monitor feature of Virtex-5 FPGA. Sounds great, that we can monitor the temperature and power supply voltage without any external sensors &#038; circuits. The system monitor works via the boundary scan interface, and we can access with the JTAG TAP in the FPGA.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/support\/documentation\/user_guides\/ug192.pdf\">Virtex-5 FPGA System Monitor User&#8217;s Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love this magazine, published by Xilinx.
