Intel 4965 wireless adapter on FreeBSD 7.1

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I've purchased a ThinkPad X61, but its wireless adapter couldn't associate with my wireless basestation (AirMac Extreme, 802.11n) with WPA2 at that time.

Now it works as this article in FreeBSD mailing list!!
Just 3 steps:
- compiled iwn.ko and iwnfw.ko
- "kldload"ed them
- wrote /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf, then launched wpa_supplicant
and I've got connected!

One (very serious) problem:
As I restarted my basestation, the FreeBSD had suddenly crashed and restarted... Maybe it's not to use the driver where the signal is weak.
